From explanation to action
Trying out a task yourself can help you understand a tool or a process. At the hands-on activities, see which step is being explained and how it fits with what you see elsewhere in the mill.
With a volunteer
The museum describes guided tours by volunteers. If explanations or a demonstration are important for your visit, ask when they are available. A miller being present is not the same as a mill that is guaranteed to be turning.
Room for children too
A play and activity area is part of what is mentioned. It lets you vary your visit, but check on site which parts are available and what supervision is needed.
Before you go
The mill is partly accessible, with a stairlift up to the first floor. Outside the season, guided tours are possible by appointment, according to the museum.
