The display covers topics including villages with higher-lying arable fields (esdorpen), farmers’ associations that jointly used the common land (boermarken) and land consolidation. Use the explanations to connect unfamiliar terms with the images you can see, without needing to know any agricultural history beforehand.

The farmhouse as well
The farmhouse also presents residents’ stories and local stories. This offers a small-scale complement to the larger landscape theme. Ask which parts are open on the day of your visit.
