Nationaal Ruimtevaart Museum: Dutch satellites inside Aviodrome

Inside Aviodrome, this presentation tells the story of Dutch space travel with satellites, astronaut flights, ISS technology and a Gemini capsule.

ANS and IRAS

The satellites make Dutch contributions tangible. Look at the instruments, solar panels and shape, and ask what task each part had to perform in space.

A full-size capsule

A Gemini capsule shows how little space the crew and equipment shared. Compare the interior volume, controls and protection with an ordinary aircraft cockpit.

Robotic arm and the ISS

An interactive game based on the ERA robotic arm gives insight into positioning and cooperation. Use the exercise to help you read real mission photos or parts afterwards.

Before you go

This is not a separate museum building; access is via an Aviodrome ticket and the same opening hours. Check Monday and public holiday hours there.
