A trade in a small scene
The museum describes 24 dioramas of occupations, crafts and trade in Aldeboarn around 1864. A diorama is a three-dimensional scene on a small scale. Choose one and try to follow the activity before you look at all the details.
From activity to connections
For a craft, ask what material was needed and for whom the work was done. Then see whether another scene offers a link to it. In this way you can use the displays to ask questions about the village as a whole.
De Waach as a place to visit
The museum website places the collection in De Waach, the former butter and cheese weigh house. The building gives you reason to look at the place of trade in the presentation too. Ask, for example, what connection the displays make between the weighing of produce and the occupations in the village.

Opening varies by season and month. According to the museum, visits outside the announced hours are possible by appointment.
