The village website also mentions a part of a Wellington bomber. It is a concrete starting point for asking about the link between an object and a local event. Ask what information is displayed with the part and how it came into the collection.
Room for what is not known
Not every preserved object necessarily has a fully documented history. During a visit, distinguish between what the guide can substantiate and what remains an open question. Those very questions can help you look closely at the collection.
