Space without solid walls
The steel reconstruction is described as a mirage. Walk towards it from different directions and notice what the open form does to the landscape behind it. Here you are looking at an artistic representation of a building and at the space around it at the same time.
Adding the gatehouse
De Poarte, the gatehouse, is presented as a separate element. Its combination with the steel makes material and form easy to compare. In the visitor centre you can look up the explanation that helps place both elements in their own context.
A route for different ages
The organisation also describes a tower with a view and play equipment in the shape of furniture. Ask which parts are open on your day. The outdoor area and the explanation in the church can together make a varied route.

A summer schedule applies; from October to March, visits are by appointment. Ask about access to the tower.
