Silver with a local focus

Textiles up close
Frisian costumes, lace caps (floddermutsen) and samplers are among the parts of the collection mentioned. Pay attention to material and finish, and read what a piece is used for in the display. You do not need to know the names of all the garments to find the workmanship interesting.
A separate story
The Boniface exhibition forms a part of the visit in its own right. This lets you combine a more narrative display with looking at silver and textiles. Ask about the route through the various buildings, especially if stairs or changes in level are difficult for you.
Before you go
Not all parts of the museum are wheelchair-friendly; the Boniface room (Bonifatiuszaal) can be reached by lift. Sunday opening depends on the season.
