Start with the overview
The museum mentions a short introductory film and an audio post. These can help you understand the order of the process before you look at the tools. The names rippling (repelen), breaking (braken), scutching (zwingelen) and hackling (kammen) only take on meaning once the actions are explained.
Machines with moving images
According to the museum, the display uses short films of the machines alongside the objects. That is useful when a tool is standing still: the film shows the movement that is hard to read from the shape alone. Then compare the film with the tool.
On your own or with a guide
