Portraits among the furniture
Family portraits are spread throughout the house. Look at them as part of the interior too. The position of a portrait, its frame and its relationship with other paintings can raise questions that go beyond the name of the person depicted.
The garden has its own rhythm
The grounds described include a vegetable garden, a flower garden, an orchard and wooded belts (singels). A garden visit is not the same as access to the museum house: each has its own schedule. Bear that in mind if you are coming mainly for the rooms.
Before you go
Check access to the house and the garden separately. There is no lift; shell paths and differences in level can limit accessibility.
