From implement to action
The museum collection includes farm implements and machines. Look in the presentation for the task an object was intended for. That way, an unfamiliar shape becomes understandable through the work that was done with it.
Farming seen by artists
The museum also mentions works by Ids Wiersma and Tjerk Bottema, among others. With such images you can pay attention to what the artist makes visible: an action, a landscape or the place of people within it. That is a different approach from a technical explanation next to an implement.
More than one kind of farm
Arable farming, livestock farming, dairy and mechanisation are among the subjects described. Choose one interest as a starting point and see how it relates to the other presentations. You do not need to recognise every machine to explore the differences.
