The studio collection
In the museum you can see works from the studio that Pander bequeathed to the municipality, complemented by an annual changing display. Look for intermediate stages and traces of material that may say something about the making process.
Five sculptures as an ensemble
The temple is arranged around five marble sculptures. View them first together from the centre and only then one by one; pose, the distance between them and the architecture together determine the effect of the whole.
Two addresses, one visit
The museum and the temple are not at exactly the same address. So allow time to get from one to the other through the Prinsentuin, and check on site whether both parts are accessible during your visit.
Before you go
The sites are only open regularly at weekends during the summer season. Groups can ask Historisch Centrum Leeuwarden about options outside the season.
