The town hall as a museum
The building on the Heerenwal was a town hall and still shapes the route. Look for places where government becomes visible in the layout or decoration, and distinguish these from later museum additions.
Magic lanterns in the attic
The collection of magic lanterns shows how images could be projected before film screenings. Children can work with them. Look at the light source, glass slide and lens as three essential links for a single image.
Town and temporary stories
The permanent town history is complemented by temporary exhibitions and a VVV (tourist office) function. Check the subject in advance and then use the display as a starting point for a walk through Sloten.

Hours differ in April and October, and there is an extra Monday opening in July and August. Public holidays and private hire also cause changes.
