Start in the reception bunker
The reception bunker is the most accessible place for the introduction and the object stories. Use the maps or explanations there to understand the outdoor route before you go through trenches and over stairs to other parts.
A position in the dunes
Together, bunkers form a position and therefore had different functions. Pay attention to how they are positioned in relation to each other and to lines of sight, but do not go searching outside the marked route yourself; nature, safety and fragile heritage set limits.
Object in the spotlight
The website mentions individual object stories and newsletters. Choose one object and ask how it fits into the larger system of occupation, defence or daily life, rather than looking only at the technology.
Before you go
Only the reception bunker is wheelchair accessible; the rest has trenches and stairs. Groups can arrange other times.
