What packaging tells you
A tin or advertising sign is made to be seen. Look at the name, image and colours and compare them with what you expect from a shop. Even without recognising every brand, you can ask plenty of questions about the way things are presented.
The guided tour is part of it
According to the museum, the residents show visitors around. Use this to ask about how the collection fits together. Why are certain objects placed together, and which part do the collectors themselves find most worthwhile?

The regular opening is on the first Sunday afternoon of the month. Arrange other times for a visit in advance.
