Photographs as a family archive
Look at the caption, date and location, and ask who identified the people. A family photograph can show a great deal, but cannot speak for the whole of Alem without context.
Tools from the land
Signs of use on a handle, blade or tine reveal labour. Ask the custodian to explain which crop or season the tool belonged to.
Museum living room and package
Coffee, pea soup, high tea and a walking route are add-ons by appointment. Be clear about what is included in admission and what is a separate package.
Before you go
No walk-in visits and no fixed schedule. Arrange the time, group size, price and any food directly.
