Setting water in motion
Hand pumps, a steam pump and motor pumps show different kinds of firefighting equipment side by side. Look at the controls and connections on each object. That makes it easier to ask targeted questions about the work it was intended for.
From vehicle to miniature
The collection contains both fire engines and miniatures. Uniforms and helmets are also part of the presentation. A film about a call-out adds movement to the material you look at in the rooms.
The right seasonal schedule
Opening hours differ between February and March and the longer season from April onwards. There are also public holiday exceptions and a last entry time before closing. The building has a lift and lists facilities for wheelchairs and rollators.
