Literature as a setting
The former concept revolved around a spatial re-creation of Dickens’s stories. Characters, lit-up shop windows and street sounds were part of that presentation. It was thus about an atmospheric introduction to a literary world, not just books in a display case.
A historical description
That description belongs to the former museum. It says nothing about what is currently accessible at the address or what has happened to the interior. There is no announced museum programme on which to base a visit.
Not to be confused with other locations
The name and location in Braamt can cause confusion with Land van Jan Klaassen. That park, and the puppet theatre museum it contains, is a different destination. The closure of the Dickens Museum is not opening information for that other destination.
