The multimedia presentation connects Culemborg with a broader history involving the VOC and South Africa. Read the explanations carefully and keep a distinction between what is known about the building and what is told about the historical figure.
House and garden
Furniture and interior design give the visit a spatial side. There is also the herb garden De Fonteynhof, with its own outdoor presentation. The garden and the museum do not automatically share the same admission conditions; check which parts are open at your chosen time.
Via the spiral staircase
Museum entry runs through Wijn & Verwonderen. The upper floor is reached by a spiral staircase and is not wheelchair accessible. Groups with a guide can ask about options outside the fixed weekly schedule.
