A collection with an origin
The museum grew out of the collection of Herman Riewald. This personal origin makes it interesting to ask how objects found their way to the museum. Not every object explains, without a caption, why it has been preserved.
Close to the objects
The museum space is described as small and richly filled. So take the time for a selection, rather than trying to see everything quickly. For a chosen object, ask about its known origin and the story attached to it.

An appointment can be requested via Facebook or by phone. There are sometimes open days, but these do not form a fixed schedule. Also confirm the address on Boekholtstraat; different listings do not use the same postcode.
