Two ways of recognising
Public transport can evoke memories of daily journeys; toys, of play and collecting. That recognition is a nice starting point, but need not be the end point. Look at what information the museum gives with the objects and what questions this raises.
Comparing while you look
Give both subjects their own moment during your visit. With a transport object you can ask about use and function; with a toy, about the way it was played with. That way you avoid only familiar shapes holding your attention.
An almshouse courtyard in Doesburg
The museum’s address is in a historic almshouse courtyard. Before you set off, check the seasonal schedule: from October, opening starts later and the museum closes earlier than in summer. Monday is a closing day in both schedules.

From October, follow the winter hours of 12.00–16.00; from April to September inclusive, longer hours apply.
