A classroom as well
The small schoolroom mentioned adds an everyday setting to the town's story. The photo collection can also offer different perspectives than a three-dimensional model or furnished room.
Archaeology and changes
A Viking sword is mentioned in connection with the 2026 programme. Check the current exhibition if that is your main reason for visiting; a special addition to the collection is not automatically on display at all times.
Before you go
Sunday and public holidays have shorter visiting hours than the other opening days. Also check which public holidays remain closed and whether a guided tour needs to be booked separately.
