The original factory shows how power is transferred to machines. Look at shafts, belts and moving parts and follow which step of the papermaking process they perform.

On production days, the difference between static heritage and a working installation becomes clear. The first Wednesday is named for this, but check whether production is actually taking place.
Making a sheet yourself
Papermaking workshops put the story of fibres, water and drying into your own hands. The shop then shows how special paper is used as a finished product.
Before you go
Visits are only possible with a guided tour; from November to March the Tuesday opening is dropped and the last tour starts at 15.00.
