The little grocer’s shop
The shop display shifts attention from cooking to buying and storing. Look at packaging, measures and the counter, and ask which parts originally belonged together.
A collection in a tower
The Kruittoren gives the museum its character but brings stairs and limited accessibility with it. Viewing the tower beyond the museum space is not a given and may be linked to Monumentendag (Dutch heritage day).
Before you go
The museum is only open at weekends from April to September; on weekdays, groups of ten or more can book a package.
