From tool to workplace
Barns with agricultural material are complemented by a bake house, a churning shed and a smithy. This lets you connect a tool to a place where the work was done. For an unfamiliar object, ask which tasks went with it.
A different room
In the ‘goeje’ room (the best room), there is a Boerenleenbank office. This gives the visit a different subject alongside farming and crafts. On announced craft days, parts of the museum are staffed; that is a separate programme you can look up in advance.
A changing schedule
Temporary closures have been announced around the new Verhalenmuseum (Story Museum), including 23 and 24 September 2026. The museum also closes earlier during Zondagsessies (Sunday Sessions). Winter hours are not stated the same way everywhere, so check your date directly.
