Uniform as regimental identity

Compare the jacket, headwear and emblem of two periods. Shape and colour can emphasise tradition while material and function change.

Paintings and documents

Image and archive document tell different stories. For a heroic scene, ask which document independently confirms the date, unit or event.

Guided tour on Wednesday

Visits take place via a guided tour and defence terrain. The last stated start time is just before 16.00; arrive well in advance and follow the gate procedure.

Before you go

Wednesday is the only regular afternoon. Identification and advance access instructions may apply; groups book other times for a fee.
