The former museum covered the period from mobilisation to liberation from the perspective of Maas en Waal. Uniform displays, dioramas and documentation offered different ways of approaching that regional subject. This describes what the former museum used to offer.
A different function
The continuation focuses on education and historical research. That does not mean a museum with the same opening times has automatically arisen elsewhere. The collection has moved and has a different function than a regular day-out destination.
No visiting route in Winssen
Old museum listings may still refer to Winssen. Do not use these as a basis for a visit to a building or exhibition. Anyone looking for information for research can turn to the current collection organisation and the contact options named there.
