The factory as starting point
The textile story gets a concrete anchor point at the looms. Demonstrations are named for Saturday afternoon. Check whether these go ahead on your date, so that you not only see the machines but can also follow how they work.
A broader local history
Fossils from the quarry and subjects relating to the Second World War broaden the visit. Tante Riek also features in the museum’s story. Take time for the explanation with each subject; they are different ways into Winterswijk.
Research has its own hours
The Historisch Informatie Punt has a narrower schedule than the museum. If you want to look for specific information, plan that part separately. On Saturday, moreover, there is a last entry time before closing, and public holidays can change the schedule.
