The auditorium as an object
Do not view a theatre only from a spectator’s seat. Pay attention to the layout, the sightlines and the finish of the space. A viewing gives you the opportunity to look for details that receive less attention during a performance.
With or without a guided tour
During fixed summer hours, individual viewing is possible. There are also group guided tours and separate programmes such as a night tour. Check which type of visit you are booking; an announced activity has its own times and conditions.
After summer, arrange a visit first
The end date of the fixed summer opening is given differently: mid-September or later in that month. For autumn and winter, visits are by appointment. So do not assume an open afternoon without confirmation.
Before you go
Confirm the date directly; after summer an appointment is needed and the end of the season is stated differently in different places.
