Before going in, notice which part of the building catches your attention. Inside, try to recognise how the different spaces are connected to each other. You don’t need to know any architectural terms to have a preference or a question.
Art and use side by side
The museum describes art and design as parts of its collection. With design, you can ask yourself what an object is meant to do; with art, the question may instead be what it makes you see or think. Try swapping the two questions round.
Choose the right location
The museum organisation also refers to other locations, including Wall House #2 and the Menkemaborg. These are separate destinations. So for an exhibition or activity, check the address, not just the name of the organisation.
