Follow the movement
Don’t just look at an individual machine; ask how the drive connects to it. Where does the movement come from, and where does the actual working take place? That way you can read a technical space without knowing the technical terms beforehand.
Images of the work
The museum mentions photo collages and newspaper cuttings as part of the visit. Use them to look at the workshop in a more focused way. Which machine or spot do you recognise in the images, and what does the explanation add?
Explaining the craft
Guided tours and demonstrations of old crafts are part of the offering described. Ask in advance whether anything will be demonstrated during your visit. A stationary machine and a demonstration raise different questions; both can offer a valuable way in.

Regular opening is on Saturdays during the season. Group visits and demonstrations need to be arranged separately.
