Don’t walk it all at once
Start with one part of the garden and look at how the plants are grouped there. What do you notice about leaves, height or structure? Flowering depends on the season; even without flowers you can compare attentively.
Herbs and stinzen plants
Domies Toen mentions both a herb garden and a collection of stinzen plants (stinzenplanten). Look for the explanations of these collections on site. As you do so, ask yourself how the museum groups the plants and which features are highlighted.
Landscapes in miniature
The biotope bowls described (biotoopschalen) cover raised bog, heathland and salt marsh, among others. Use them to look at different arrangements side by side. Which differences can you observe for yourself, and what do you need from the explanation to understand them?

The garden reports year-round access with no fixed daily closing time. Shell paths can make wheelchair use difficult; discuss your route in advance.
