Red, but far from the same
In the photo, the vehicles stand neatly side by side. That is exactly what makes the differences stand out: a rounded bonnet next to a taller cab, narrow windows next to a wide windscreen. Also look at the ladders and the equipment on the roofs. Which vehicle catches your eye first?
You do not need to be an expert on makes or build years to enjoy these details. Start, for example, at the front: compare the headlights, the grilles and the position of the crew cab. The photos invite you to look calmly from one vehicle to the next.
A collection on the move
On 21 September 2026, Marc Bakker let us know on behalf of the museum that the organisation is in the middle of a major move. He sent these images along to give an advance look at the collection. They show an impression of the museum before the move, not the layout at the new location.
The museum hopes to welcome visitors again on 13 March 2027. As soon as the new address details are known, it intends to pass them on to Museum Magazine. Until then, you can view the images here and go to the museum’s website for current updates.

Do not yet plan a visit based on the intended reopening date. The museum is temporarily closed and has not yet announced a new visitor address. Ask the museum for the current state of affairs before you set off.
