From engine to pump
The technical description mentions a Werkspoor engine and a Brons engine, coupled to propeller pumps. Ask how you can follow that connection on site. A large engine is impressive, but becomes easier to understand once it is clear what work it drives.
The installation’s helpers
Besides the main machines, the museum mentions equipment for compressed air and vacuum, and an emergency generator. Ask for an explanation of why such parts are needed in the whole. That shifts your attention from a single machine to an installation that works together.
Looking without prior knowledge
You don’t need to memorise any power ratings or type numbers. Choose two parts you would like to be able to explain in your own words afterwards. Ask whether there is a demonstration; being open as a museum does not automatically mean the machines are running.
