The model depicts Tolbert in 1925. Choose a street or building and follow the surroundings from there. How are the places positioned in relation to one another? In this way a model can help you understand a village story spatially.
From house to resident
The museum mentions information about buildings and residents alongside the model. For a building you have chosen, look for the additional items available. What does a photograph or story add that you cannot see from the model alone?
More than one display
The farm also offers temporary exhibitions. Ask about the current subject if you want to combine your visit with, for example, the story of a local association. The model and a temporary exhibition may each have their own period and angle.
Before you go
Regular museum visits are on Saturdays; groups can come by appointment. Also check the season in which the model is accessible.
