A room in detail
Start with a single kitchen, bathroom or shop. Which elements make it immediately clear what kind of room it is? Then look at a small detail you skipped at first. The miniature scale invites you to look closely, without having to take in the whole collection at once.
Old and new side by side
The museum’s own description mentions both older dolls’ houses and modern miniatures. Ask how a piece you have chosen was made and how it came into the collection. In doing so, distinguish between the interior it depicts and the date of the dolls’ house itself.
Other toys too
Tin toys, Dinky Toys and steam engines are also mentioned. In addition, there are seasonal displays. Ask about the current theme in advance if that is what you are coming for; not every display described will necessarily be there on the day of your visit.

Visits are by telephone appointment only. There are no fixed days of the week for walk-in visits.
