Start with the question of how people used the landscape. Let the guided tour explain which tasks were involved in peat cutting or land reclamation. This way you can connect the work with the surroundings without knowing all the terms beforehand.
Daily life too
The museum is not only about work, but also about home and everyday life. During the guided tour, ask how these subjects complement each other. An object or furnished setting gains more meaning once it becomes clear how it was used in everyday life.
Planning with a guide
A guided tour and a drink are included in the admission. Allow enough time for this. Regular opening is on Wednesday and Sunday afternoons; groups can request other times. Check the winter period separately, as seasonal listings differ.
