Learning to read a find
Start with one object and see what the information says about the find spot, dating and function. These are different kinds of information. An object that comes from the area was not necessarily made or used in that same place.
Different periods side by side
Temporary exhibitions can bring new attention to excavations or a particular period. The 2026 programme mentions finds from around Swalmen, among other things. Check the current display and keep the different layers of time in the explanation apart.
Choosing a season Sunday
In 2026 regular opening is limited to Sunday afternoons from April into October. Have a group appointment or specific accessibility question confirmed in advance. Also check the correct entrance, as the street name and house number are not shown the same way everywhere.
Before you go
Check the open Sunday; the 2026 season runs up to and including 11 October.
