An object and its use
Chasubles, chalices, statuettes of Mary and other objects each call for an explanation of function and context. Start with something you do not know and read or ask what it was used for. A ritual object is more than just material or decoration.
Combining museum and church
A guided tour can also cover the church architecture and paintings. That broadens the visit from individual objects to the space in which religious meaning takes shape. Ask in advance which parts are included in the chosen tour and how much time is needed.
Confirming access
Sunday afternoon is mentioned as the regular time to visit, but there are also conflicting reports of closure. So confirm the current opening before making a special trip. The entrance is on the left-hand side of the church building; if you have any impairments, discuss access to the lower church.
