Look at how the parts of the mill fit together. The explanation can make clear what function a visible mechanism has, without you needing to know the technical names beforehand.
Milling is not guaranteed
In working order means that the mill can operate, not that it turns during every visit. Ask which work or demonstrations are possible on your chosen day.
Volunteers and schedule
Summer opening depends partly on sufficient staffing. An announced Sunday is therefore something to check shortly beforehand, especially if you are coming from further away.
Before you go
Check Saturday or Sunday opening during the season and confirm a group appointment. Ask about stairs and accessibility; the mill surroundings require you to follow local instructions.
