Start with the miners’ lamps and compare their design, how they were carried and how they were used. Such differences show how safety and technology changed, without assuming a general story of progress.
Tokens and paperwork
Small administrative objects tell who worked a shift, received material or was granted access. Ask how a token was used and which document supports that explanation.
Recreated settings
The mine gallery and ‘Winkels van Vreuger’ (Shops of Yesteryear) are presentations that evoke a setting. See which parts are original and which were specially made to make the story understandable.

There is no fixed weekly schedule. Open days and private appointments determine access; the museum’s own website gives contradictory seasons. Check the date, time, price and appointment directly before you set off.
