Look at how stuffed animals and insects are grouped. The arrangement says something not only about nature, but also about earlier ideas about classifying and displaying.
Provenance as the key question
With clothing, art and religious objects from different parts of the world, provenance is essential. Look for what is known about maker, user, the moment of collecting and the transfer to the museum.
Looking at the presentation itself
The largely preserved display from 1934 is also a document of museum history. Ask which terms and categories are historical and how the museum now explains them.
