Learning to recognise statues
Look at attributes, clothing and posture before you read the name plate. Such features helped visitors recognise a saint and are therefore part of the visual language.
Scale in the chapel
The statues vary greatly in height. Compare a small devotional object with a monumental church statue and ask what distance and space each was made for.
Inside and outside
Continue the route in the park and the Mariakapel (Lady Chapel). Notice how weather-dependent light, greenery and architecture make the religious art work differently than in the museum chapel.
