The route lies in marl and is not a former coal mine. So ask which machines and tools are historical and which parts were placed specially for demonstration.
Machines are meant to work
During demonstrations, pay attention to movement, sound and operation. Ask which task a machine took over and which danger or physical labour remained for the miners.

Before you go
Guided tour times vary greatly by season. From 30 March to 1 November there are guided tours daily; winter hours are more limited. Book and discuss mobility, temperature and uneven ground.
