Compare an early mechanical machine with a later electronic one. Look at the coin slot, controls, feedback and the role the coin plays in the design.
Playing or selling
Coin-op covers more than games. Ask which machine provided amusement, sold a product or tested a skill, and how the user knew what to do.
Not everything is on display
The collection is much larger than the part on show. Ask which theme the current tour follows and which section is not yet open to the public.
Before you go
Monday to Friday by appointment only; Saturday by arrangement for larger groups. On the first Sunday, individual tours start at 11.00 and 14.00, with limited capacity. Book in advance.
