Start with the current exhibition and see how works are placed in the building. How do light, distance and scale affect your impression? You do not need to read all the explanations first; use your own observation as a starting point.
The garden as a second space
Outside, the relationship between art and surroundings changes. Take your time there deliberately and compare your way of looking with how you look indoors. What is accessible on the day of your visit depends on the programme and the season; check the current route.
Planning an estate visit
Allow for walking outdoors and ask in advance about the accessibility of the parts you want to see. Regular opening is Wednesday to Sunday, with extra openings on public holidays. Combining it with other activities in Wijlre requires separate tickets and planning.
