The work behind an object
Peat cutters, carpenters, clog makers and other trades feature in the displays. Choose one craft and ask which actions go with the tools on show. Explanations from a staff member can help bridge the gap from object to working process.
Vehicles and paintings
A Model T Ford and a historic fire engine add other kinds of use. Paintings by Hein van Well offer yet another view than tools or vehicles. Keep these different ways of storytelling side by side, rather than seeing everything as a single picture of an era.
Saturdays in season
From April to October there is a short Saturday-afternoon opening without an appointment. Other times and the winter period are by appointment. Use current visitor information if you want to combine the museum with a route; old leaflets may include places that no longer exist.
