Sculpting in wax
The collection consisted of carved beeswax candles by Frits Spies. Religious subjects featured among them; old images give an impression of the combination of material and subject matter.
Seeing the work again in images
Kempens Erfgoed refers to online images of works and exhibitions. These offer a way to view what was once on show, without implying a physical display.
An old address
The Kerkplein belongs to the former museum. Reports about the building or plans for the village centre do not mean that the collection will receive visitors at that address again.
Before you go
The museum is closed. Do not rely on old opening times and do not plan a trip to a supposed location in Baarle-Nassau; any new display would require a separate announcement.
