From doll to construction system
The museum’s own collection description mentions Barbie, Playmobil, Fisher-Price, Meccano and Nooitgedagt. This variety allows a comparison between toys that represent a world and materials with which children build something themselves. Recognition can be the starting point; the differences in form and use give you more to look at.
More than the display cases
Spelebos offers a combination with Dino Adventure and Golf Adventure. If you book the activities together, think in advance about how much time you want to leave for the toy museum. The model railway Spoor op Vleugels that is mentioned is still under construction; do not count on a fully available display.
A seasonal visit
The usual opening period runs from mid-March to the end of October. The schedule may change during school holidays. Closing early when there are few visitors is also among the possibilities reported. So check the calendar, especially for a visit late in the afternoon.
