Aircraft and engineering
The museum’s own collection page mentions the Tiger Moth, Chipmunk, Piper Cub, Auster V and Stearman, among others. Cutaway engines also offer a different view of aviation: not the silhouette of the aircraft, but the parts of the propulsion come to the fore.
Replicas and a map
A Wright Flyer replica and a Spitfire are also mentioned as part of the offer. An interactive map of aircraft crashes in the Second World War adds a regional subject. Ask in advance if a particular aircraft is the main reason for your visit; a flight or maintenance may mean it is not there.
September needs extra checking
The published seasonal schedules contradict each other about September: one gives Thursday to Sunday, the other weekends only. So be sure to check a weekday afternoon in September directly. December and January are listed as closed months.
