From large to small
The museum’s own page on what it offers mentions Brachiosaurus, T. rex and Hatzegopteryx, among others. Alongside these large forms, the fossils and minerals also deserve attention. Moving between these parts turns the visit into more than an encounter with impressive dinosaurs: smaller material has its place too.
Working on fossils
The preparation laboratory is part of what is described. Ask what can be seen there during your visit; a mention of a laboratory is no promise of a demonstration. It does, however, give you a reason to ask how finds are made ready for research and display.
Combining indoors and outdoors
Life-size dinosaur models stand in the prehistoric garden. So allow for an outdoor section too when you plan your visit. Around Christmas and New Year the usual schedule changes. Groups and children’s parties are booked in advance.
